KANGAZANG!

Kangazang! is a science fiction comedy, reminiscent of the Douglas Adams Classic, The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy. It tells the adventures of Jeff Spooner, a lovelorn everyman, who unexpectedly gets taken on an interstellar journey across the galaxy.

The book is written by Hubbub's Terry Cooper. He said: "Kangazang! contains hundreds of things relevant to my childhood, and growing up in the 1970's and 1980's. My parents bought me and my brothers a Spacehopper when I was about 6 or 7 years old, and I was fascinated by the type of animal it was, or was based on. I guess it's a kind of kangaroo, but the insane grin and twisty antennae said otherwise."

We are currently in post-production on the audio version featuring former Doctor Who, Colin Baker, Claire Cage and Terry Cooper. Click below and listen to a trailer for the CD.

"Kangazang! is inventive, intriguing and truly comic. As a first novel, it is a remarkable piece of work."
Neil Kinnock, House of Lords

"It's a laugh-a-minute intergalactic road trip with a large dose of 80s nostalgia. It taps into the current thirst for British sci-fi like Doctor Who but, in doing so, pushes the boundaries forward. Terry's writing style really captures the unique humour that has made Douglas Adam's books so popular."
Steve Upham, director of Screaming Dreams

"Kangazang! ... was a delight. I found it funny and sly and at times laugh out loud funny."
Philip Palmer (Writer, The Bill, Rebus, author of Red Claw and Debatable Space)

"It was fantastic - I actually chuckled aloud to myself on three separate occassions - and that is no mean feat! (I think the first one was at "Emo Prime"... genius, absolute genius.) Anyhoo, it was a great read out in the garden sunbathing, but now the sun has gone in and I'm out of Kangazang to read... so... write another one! :P"
